The Investigation Continues Following a Report of Shots Fired in South St. Paul
SOUTH ST PAUL, MINNESOTA—The South St. Paul Police Department continues to investigate a weapons complaint following reports of shots fired in the 300 block of 6th Avenue North on the evening of Friday, June 21, 2024.
According to the South St Paul Police, they received multiple calls about shots being fired in the area. Responding officers arrived at the scene but did not find any injured individuals. As of this afternoon, Wednesday, June 26th, no suspects have been taken into custody.
Officials with the South St. Paul Police Department report that the investigation is still active, and the police department cannot release any further specific details about what their investigation has uncovered. However, they have confirmed that the evidence they have found does support the initial reports of gunfire in the area. K9 units from the South St Paul Police Department and Dakota County Sheriff were brought in specifically for evidence recovery.
