Lakeville Police Respond to Active Domestic Situation at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club

UPDATE - June 30th at 9 AM: Man Receives Felony Stalking Charges Following Domestic Incident in Lakeville
LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA— On the morning of June 27, at approximately 9:35 AM, the Lakeville Police Department responded to a distress call regarding an active domestic situation that was occurring in a moving vehicle. The incident culminated at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club, located at 17976 Judicial Road
According to a press release from the Lakeville Police Department, officers quickly located the victim and the suspect vehicle upon arrival at Brackett's Crossing. Initial information suggested that the suspect had entered the building [the country club] and might be armed. The primary focus of the responding officers was to evacuate workers and customers from the building and to locate the suspect.
Given the potential involvement of a firearm, the presence of numerous bystanders, and the extensive area to be searched, multiple law enforcement agencies, including SWAT, were called in to assist. Some of those agencies included the Apple Valley Police Department, Prior Lake Police Department, Dakota County Sheriff’s Office, Farmington Police Department, South Metro Police/SWAT, and the Minnesota State Air Patrol. A shelter-in-place order was issued for the surrounding area to ensure public safety and to facilitate effective search procedures.
Law enforcement personnel thoroughly searched and cleared all buildings at Brackett’s Crossing and determined that the suspect was no longer on the premises. As the investigation continued, tips from the public were solicited, leading to the eventual lifting of the shelter-in-place order.
Shortly after that, officers received a tip that led them to the 18000 block of Lansford Path. There, they located the 27-year-old male suspect, who complied with police commands and was taken into custody without further incident. The Lakeville Police Department reports that no firearm was found on his person or in the immediate vicinity. The Lakeville Police report there were no physical injuries to report as a result of this incident.
The Lakeville Police Department extends its gratitude to all assisting agencies, the staff and guests at Brackett’s Crossing, and the public for their cooperation and assistance during this incident.
