Minneapolis, Minnesota February 6th Fatal Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - Minneapolis Police say a man was killed in a shooting early Tuesday morning, February 6, 2024. According to the Minneapolis Police Department, Officers from the 4th Precinct responded to a shooting outside of a gas station on the 2600 block of W Broadway Ave at 12:20 AM.

Officers arriving at the scene found a 23-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound in the alley behind the gas station. The Officers performed life-saving maneuvers, but despite best efforts, emergency medical technicians pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Police say that preliminary information indicates the shooting happened after a verbal altercation escalated into violence. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the man’s name and the cause and nature of his death.
