The Wall That Heals and Mobile Education Center Arrives in Mendota Heights, Minnesota

MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA - Escorted by police, fire, and local motorcycle groups, The Wall That Heals was escorted this afternoon, Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from Bethel's Rock Church in Farmington, Minnesota, and welcomed at the Saint Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minnesota where it will be on exhibit from Friday, May 26th through Monday, May 29th, 2023.

The Wall That Heals is a three-quarter scale, 375-foot-long replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., that travels across the country and offers local communities the opportunity to reflect and honor the more than 3 million Americans who served in the United States armed forces during the Vietnam War. The replica has the names of more than 58,281 men and women who made sacrificed their lives for this country while in Vietnam. The wall was unveiled on Veterans Day 1996 by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) and has been displayed in nearly 700 different communities all across the United States. The exhibit also features a mobile Education Center.

The Wall That Heals exhibit is free and will be open to the public to view 24 hours a day from 2 PM on Friday, May 26th through 2 PM Monday, May 29th at the Saint Thomas Academy, located at 949 Mendota Heights Road in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. There will be an Opening Ceremony at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 26th, and a Closing Ceremony at 1 PM on Monday, May 29th.

  • The Wall and Mobile Education Center will be open 24 hours a day. 

  • Parking is free and located on-site. Handicap parking and assistance for Veterans are also available.

  • Visitors can view the exhibit at their own pace.

  • Children are welcome. 

  • No dogs or pets are allowed except for service animals. 

  • There are NO concessions or souvenirs for purchase.
