Teen hit by car in Eagan, Minnesota

UPDATE: It is with great sadness that we report the person hit by a car early Wednesday morning was a teen, and this is now being reported as a fatal accident. Police haven’t released any information yet, but the family has confirmed this information and have stated this was conmected to a mental health situation. Out of respect for the family, we are going to leave them anonymous.

Original Story: Around 12:45 AM on August 17, 2022, a call came in for a person versus a car near Cliff Rd and Cliff Lake Rd in Eagan, Minnesota. Early reports are saying someone might have been sitting in the middle of the road when they were struck by a vehicle. Details are very limited at this time, but State Police are busy reconstructing the scene and investigating what occurred. Cliff Rd at I-35E will be closed while police conduct their investigation. The condition of the person who was struct is not officially known at this time.
