Minor Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Crash on County Road 42 in Rosemount
ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA—A two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon temporarily shut down a portion of County Road 42 in Rosemount. The collision left both drivers with minor injuries and caused traffic disruptions in the area.
The crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. near the intersection of County Road 42 and Business Parkway. According to Rosemount Police, a vehicle traveling eastbound on CR 42 attempted to turn north onto Business Parkway when it pulled into the path of a westbound vehicle, resulting in a crash. The driver of the eastbound vehicle reportedly told authorities that his view of oncoming traffic was obstructed by other vehicles waiting in the westbound turn lane to head south onto Business Parkway.
Both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles and were evaluated at the scene by M Health medics. They sustained minor injuries and were released without requiring hospitalization.
Due to the crash and the debris left behind, westbound County Road 42 was closed from Biscayne Avenue to Highway 3—including Business Parkway—for approximately 45 minutes to one hour. Rosemount Police and Fire Department responded, coordinating cleanup and traffic control.
