Three-Vehicle Crash in Lakeville Caused by Red Light Violation

LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA—A mid-morning crash involving three vehicles at a busy Lakeville intersection sent one person to the hospital and resulted in a traffic citation, according to Lakeville Police.

Authorities report that the crash occurred at the intersection of 160th Street and Garden View Drive/Highview Avenue at approximately 10:25 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025. The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of an Infiniti G35 sedan was traveling westbound on 160th Street when they ran a red light and struck a southbound Subaru Outback from Garden View Drive/Highview Avenue, which had the right-of-way through the intersection. Following the initial impact, the Infiniti continued forward and collided with a Chevrolet Colorado that had been stopped at the eastbound red light on 160th Street.

Emergency responders transported the driver of the Subaru to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Police confirmed that they cited the driver of the Infiniti for running the red light.

Traffic in the area was briefly impacted as 160th Street was closed in both directions at Highview Avenue and Hyland Avenue as crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the crash.
