Driver Cited After Rear-End Crash on Cliff Road in Eagan

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - A 20-year-old driver was cited for driving without due care following a rear-end collision on Cliff Road in Eagan on the afternoon of March 12, 2025.

According to Eagan officials, the crash occurred at approximately 2:38 p.m. at the intersection of Cliff Road and Cliff Drive. The driver, operating a GMC Sierra westbound on Cliff Road, admitted to looking at his GPS when he rear-ended a Ford Explorer that was stopped in traffic.

Emergency responders from Eagan Fire Department, Eagan Police Department, and M Health responded to the crash. One occupant of the Ford Explorer sustained injuries and was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.

Police cited the 20-year-old GMC Sierra driver for failing to exercise due care while driving. Officials continue to remind motorists of the dangers of distracted driving and encourage drivers to remain attentive at all times.
