Kenyon Man Now Facing Drug Charges in Two Counties Following Major Narcotics Investigation

CANNON FALLS and ROSEMOUNT, MINNESOTA –  A Kenyon man accused of operating a multi-location drug trafficking operation is now facing multiple felony charges in both Goodhue and Dakota Counties, following an investigation that began in January 2025, followed by law enforcement executing high-profile raids in February and taking the suspect into custody this spring.

Nathan Scott Robinson, 44, is at the center of a multi-agency narcotics investigation and has been charged with possessing large quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine, and LSD. According to criminal complaints filed in Dakota and Goodhue Counties, his alleged activities stretched across two Rosemount, Cannon Falls, and Red Wing properties.

Tip-Off and Initial Investigation

In January 2025, the Washington County Drug Task Force initiated an investigation after receiving multiple reports alleging Robinson was selling narcotics from his home at 15000 block of Clayton Avenue East in Rosemount. An informant, who had been found in possession of narcotics, firearms, and cash after leaving that address, confirmed Robinson's involvement in drug trafficking and verified the residence through mapping tools and social media.

Further investigation linked the address to previous narcotics activity and confirmed Robinson’s extensive criminal history, including prior offenses involving narcotics, assault, burglary, and theft. The residence was labeled a known drug house by local law enforcement.

Ion Scan Testing and Surveillance

On January 7, 2025, a judge approved a warrant for ion swab testing of the property. A certified technician from the Minnesota National Guard Counter Drug Program conducted the scan, which tested positive for trace amounts of cocaine on a gate handle used to access the property.

Surveillance over the following weeks documented short-term visits typical of drug transactions, and Robinson was observed handling vehicles in a suspicious manner consistent with narcotics distribution, including placing and retrieving items that appeared to be drug packages.

Dakota County Charges Filed

A warrant was requested for Robinson following a drug-related investigation by the Washington County Drug Task Force at the residence in Rosemount, Minnesota. The Dakota County Attorney’s Office has charged Robinson with two felony counts stemming from a February 4, 2025, search at the Rosemount residence:

  • Count I: Second-Degree Controlled Substance Possession – for possession of 50+ grams or 100+ dosage units of amphetamines, PCP, or hallucinogens (max: 25 years, $500,000 fine).

  • Count II: Third-Degree Controlled Substance Possession – for possession of 10+ grams of a narcotic drug other than heroin or fentanyl (max: 20 years, $250,000 fine).

During the search at the residence in the 15000 block of Clayton Avenue East, investigators located:

  • 22.4 grams of methamphetamine in a basement bedroom;

  • 207 dosage units of LSD inside a bag that also contained Robinson’s driver’s license.

Robinson was not at home then, but was soon tracked by authorities to a Cannon Falls residence.

Goodhue County Case Tied to Same Investigation

On January 28th and 30th, 2025, the Red Wing Police Department, with help from the Minnesota Southeast Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, executed two search warrants on residents located in the 300 block of East 7th Street and the 400 block of Pine Street in Red Wing, Minnesota, following court-approved electronic surveillance. The Republican Eagle reports that during these operations, another individual was arrested and charged with first-degree drug sale charges. This individual was identified as a 30-year-old Andre Lavell Page. Robinson’s activities in Cannon Falls led to further charges in Goodhue County, where officers executed an additional search warrant on February 6, 2025, at a residence in the 100 block of Evergreen Drive East. Robinson was found in the basement during the raid. Investigators recovered:

  • 57 grams of cocaine

  • 280 dosage units of LSD

  • Suspected methamphetamine and marijuana

  • $8,635 in cash

  • Multiple cell phones

He was charged with:

  • 1st-degree drug possession (50+ grams of cocaine/meth), and

  • 2nd-degree drug possession (50+ grams or 100+ units of hallucinogens/amphetamines).

Robinson was transported to the Goodhue Jail following this event, but was released for medical reasons.

April Arrest and Bail Set

Although a warrant had been active in the Goodhue County case since March, Robinson was taken into custody by the Washington County Sheriff’s Department on April 18, 2025, in connection with the Dakota County charges.

According to court records, Dakota County set bail at:

  • $250,000 without conditions, or

  • $50,000 with conditions.

Court records show that Robinson has not posted bail and remains in custody at the Dakota County Jail.

Extensive Surveillance and Investigation

The investigation into Robinson spanned several months and involved coordination between the Washington County Drug Task Force, the Dakota County Drug Task Force, the Southeast Minnesota Violent Crimes Enforcement Team, and the Red Wing Police Department. Officers used surveillance, confidential informants, vehicle tracking, cellphone pings, and a Microsilver ion swab test to detect trace narcotics on surfaces.

Authorities say Robinson was observed engaging in activities consistent with drug trafficking, including short-term traffic at his residences and suspicious handling of vehicles.

Next Steps

Robinson now faces multiple felony charges across both jurisdictions, with potential penalties exceeding 50 years in prison and over $1 million in fines.

This article provides an overview of the allegations against Robinson and Page, detailing the charges, evidence, and potential legal outcomes. The community is reminded that charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Further updates on this case will depend on the progress of the legal proceedings.
