Emergency Roadwork to Close Lanes on Cedar Avenue in Apple Valley Saturday

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA— The Dakota County Government announced in a Facebook post around 3 PM on Friday, May 30th, that drivers in Apple Valley should prepare for lane closures on Cedar Avenue this Saturday, May 31, 2025, as emergency roadwork is scheduled between County Road 42 and 140th Street.
According to Dakota County officials, all lanes of Cedar Avenue, except the inside lane, will be closed starting early Saturday morning. Traffic control measures will be in place by 6:30 a.m. and will remain until the emergency repairs are completed.
The nature of the emergency roadwork has not been detailed, but officials say the work is necessary to maintain safe and reliable road conditions along this busy corridor.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead, expect delays, and consider alternate routes if possible. The county thanked the public for their patience during the repairs.
