Burnsville Public Works Open House: Discover City Services and Sustainability
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - The City of Burnsville will host a Public Works Open House on Thursday, May 23, 2024, during National Public Works Week from May 19th through May 25th.
During this open house, the community can learn everything from the equipment used, how the city provides safe drinking water, street repairs, forestry, and everything the City of Burnsville Public Works team does for the community! The City of Burnsville will also allow people to tour the City's Water Treatment Plant through a free shuttle service they will be offering.
This event will be family-friendly and for kids of all ages! Kids can explore all the trucks and equipment the City uses to plow the streets, operate the water and sewer systems, maintain the parks, prune trees, and more. The City will also provide lessons on how to become more sustainable as a community while also being able to see Burnsville's sustainability in real-time. There will also be a Public Works Passport exploration game where kids can win prizes.
In addition, the event will have quest vendors and representatives from recreation, engineering, natural resources, utilities, public safety, and more to answer any questions you might have. Food trucks will also be available to purchase food and treats!
