Police Investigating Multiple Early Morning Burglaries in Apple Valley
APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA—Police are investigating a string of early morning burglaries that occurred during the early morning hours on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at five separate residences in Apple Valley.
According to the Apple Valley Police Department, five homes were burglarized in the 15600 block of Hallmark Path, the 15700 block of Hannover Path, and the 7900 block of Hallmark Way. Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for all of the incidents, which occurred during the overnight hours.
Rough locations of Burglaries.
The suspect, described as a Black male, was seen wearing a black ballcap, a white Nike shirt, and carrying a black and white backpack. He reportedly used a cellphone's flashlight to navigate through the dark. We’re working to confirm reports that a resident in the area might have captured the suspect on video. If we can confirm this and obtain permission to share, we will add it to this article.
Police say the suspect gained access to most of the homes by entering through garage service doors, which were either unlocked or only secured with standard doorknob locks. In several cases, after entering the garage, the suspect rummaged through vehicles and, in some instances, entered the homes through unlocked interior doors connecting the garage to the house.
In one case, a man's wallet was stolen. In another, a vehicle parked in the driveway was left unlocked with a garage door opener inside. The suspect used that opener to gain access to the garage and proceed with the burglary.
Authorities are urging residents to take proactive steps to secure their homes and vehicles:
Lock all exterior doors, including garage service doors
Always secure the door between the garage and the home
Remove garage door openers from vehicles parked outside
Lock all vehicle doors, especially those left in driveways
Ensure security cameras are working and fully powered
Keep exterior lights on from dusk to dawn to deter criminal activity
Police are asking anyone with information or surveillance footage of suspicious activity in the area to contact them. Residents are reminded to report any unusual or suspicious behavior by calling 911 immediately.
