Second-Alarm Fire Damages Burnsville Home on July 4th

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA—Several area fire departments were dispatched to the 2700 block of Sunset Lane late Friday night, July 4th, 2025, for a reported structure fire. According to fire officials, the blaze was first reported just before 10:00 p.m.

Initial fire crews arrived at a residence in the 2700 block of Sunset Lane to find a working structure fire, with flames reportedly originating in the garage and having spread to the home. The incident was quickly upgraded to a second-alarm fire, with mutual aid provided by several neighboring agencies, including the Eagan, Bloomington, Savage, Apple Valley, and Lakeville fire departments. Burnsville Police and M Health Fairview EMS also responded to the scene.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all involved, the fire was brought under control, and no injuries were reported.

The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation. We will provide additional updates once more information is released.
