Shooting near Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota

June 29th Update: We have learned from the family that the man that was in critical condition after the shooting at Stone Arch Bridge is 34-year-old Tyler King from Nashville, TN. He was hit with a stray bullet while he was outside a wedding celebration for his sister’s wedding. They report that King and his brother-in-law walked a woman to her car to make sure she got home safely. The street they were on was quiet, but a few blocks away was where the large and wild crowd was gathering.

A GoFundMe was created by the family to help pay for his medical bills and help support the family. In the GoFundMe they say Mr. Kind remains in critical condition after being shot in the face by a stray bullet. Since the shooting, he has suffered a stroke, a brain bleed, and still has swelling. June 26th Update: The Minneapolis Police department confirms at least four people were injured after multiple shots were fired near the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota late Saturday night. It is reported that the University of Minnesota Police and Minneapolis Park Police responded to the area just after 11 PM on Saturday night for reports of multiple shots fired with a large ground gathering in the area. Upon arrival, it was reported to be a very chaotic scene with at least three people found to have gunshot-related injuries. A fourth victim later turned up at an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound that was linked to the scene as well. It is reported that one 34-year-old male had a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound to the head, with the other two victims, a 19-year-old male, and an 18-year-old female both with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Based upon initial reports gathered by the police, there was a large gathering near the intersection of Main St and Sixth Ave when shots were fired into the ground. They reported several fights ongoing within the crowd.

There have been no arrests made in regards to the shooting and police continue to investigate this incident. Police ask if anyone has information related to this incident, including audio or video footage, please call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit an online report here.


One witness confirms a very chaotic scene between Mill and Main, and the Stone Arch Tattoo building where the alley is located. It was in this location that one male subject was said to have been shot in the head. It is unknown the condition of that individual at this time.


ORIGINAL STORY: There is an active police scene near the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis, Minnesota after reports of multiple shots fired in the area of 6th Ave SE and SE Main St around 11:30 PM on June 25, 2022. Video from the area confirms that there was a large police presence and emergency personnel was also at the scene. The suspect vehicle is reported to be a white Dodge Charger.
