Eagan Police detain four following large police presence at Extended Stay

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - Around 2:30 PM on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, several police officers with the Eagan Police Department converged on the Extended Stay on Denmark Avenue in Eagan, Minnesota that resulted in two cars being seized and at least four individuals being detained.

The details of the incident remain limited at this time, but what we do know is Eagan Police Officers responded to the Extended Stay and surrounded two vehicles that were located in the back parking lot of the hotel on Denmark Avenue. The two cars they were targeting were white and silver cars. From those two vehicles, police detained at least four individuals. The Eagan Police Department also seized the two vehicles involved in the incident. We are working to confirm with the Eagan Police Department what led to the incident that resulted in the four individuals being detained. We can report that all parties were detained without incident, and no use of force or injuries were reported. Medics were on standby but were not needed.

Following the detaining of the individuals, Eagan Police Officers searched both vehicles and collected evidence. The four individuals were taken back to Eagan Police Department for further investigation. We have contacted the Eagan Police Department for a comment on the incident and await their response. Once more information is made available, we will share any updates.

June 29th Update

According to Eagan Police Department, four individuals were located at the Extended Stay as part of an active investigation. They were brought to the Eagan Police Department for questioning and were later released. The Eagan Police confirm there was no resistance from any party when they were detained by police. No other information was available at this time as their investigation is open and active at this time.
