Environmental Assessment Worksheet for proposed Burnsville project now available for public viewing and comment

BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA - The City of Burnsville has announced the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) that was done by the Developer of the proposed Villas at Pleasant Avenue II development is now viewable to the public and open to comments per State Statute requirements. According to the press release from the City of Burnsville, the assessment was done on an area where the proposed phase II of the project and future construction are to be done.

Residents of the City of Burnsville are able to view and comment on the EAW that was done at the following link: Environmental Assessment Worksheet. The period for public comment begins today, June 13th, and goes until July 13th.

More information about the Proposed DevelopmentAccording to the press release from the City of Burnsville, this EAW was prepared by MWF Properties LLC for a proposed development of five residential buildings east of the I-35W/Burnsville Parkway interchange in the Burnsville Transit-Oriented Development District. The Concorde Flats and Villas I project is currently ongoing and under construction, with construction on the Villas II project projected to begin in the fall of 2023. According to the press release from the City of Burnsville, MWF Properties LLC included two additional potential future project phases in this EAW, the Parkway and Diamondhead projects. These projects are estimated to provide around 500 units of additional housing to the area.

Per the Press Release from the City of Burnsville, “By State statute, this level of development requires a mandatory EAW. Copies have been distributed to agencies listed on the most current Minnesota Environmental Quality Board (EQB) distribution list. Published notice of this EAW will occur in the EQB Monitor on Tuesday, June 13. Paper copies are also available for review at Burnsville City Hall (100 Civic Center Parkway) and the Minneapolis Central Branch of the Hennepin County Public Library (300 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis).”
