Vehicle Crashes Into Water Near Hwy 13 in Eagan, No Occupants Found

EAGAN, MINNESOTA—The Minnesota State Patrol reported that they responded to reports of a vehicle that crashed into a retention pond near Highway 13 and Silver Bell Road late Friday night, prompting a large emergency response. Officials said the Minnesota State Patrol, Eagan Police Department, Eagan Fire Department, and Minnesota State Air Patrol were all dispatched to the scene around 10:40 PM on September 27.

Upon arrival, responders found a vehicle partially submerged in the water. However, after an extensive search of the area, authorities could not locate any occupants in or near the vehicle.

State Patrol officers, along with help from the Eagan Police Department, conducted a thorough search of the surrounding area, but it was determined that no one was in the vicinity at the time. As of now, the circumstances surrounding how the vehicle ended up in the water remain under investigation.

The Minnesota State Patrol states that the investigation into this incident remains active. Updates will be provided as new details emerge.
