Small Fire Reported at Eagan's Town Centre Apartments Extinguished, One Victim Transported
EAGAN, MINNESOTA—Emergency responders swiftly tackled a small fire at the Town Centre Apartments in Eagan, Minnesota just before 1:40 PM, Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The Eagan Fire Department, Inver Grove Heights Fire, Eagan Police, and MHealth Medics were all dispatched to the scene following reports of the fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a small fire in one of the apartments. The fire was promptly extinguished, limiting the damage to a small carpet area, according to officials with the Eagan Fire Department. One individual was evacuated from the building and evaluated by MHealth Medics on-site. They were later transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Their condition is not known at this time.
The Eagan Fire Department reported that the cause of the fire is still undetermined, and they are seeking to interview the apartment occupant to gather more information. Officials with the Eagan Fire Department said the estimated damages from the fire are low as only a small carpeted area was impacted.
