No Injuries Reported After House Fire on 133rd Street in Savage
SAVAGE, MINNESOTA—Firefighters from multiple departments responded to a second-alarm structure fire at a single-family home in the 5400 block of 133rd Street in Savage on Sunday evening. Thanks to a swift response and coordinated fire suppression efforts, the fire was quickly brought under control, and all occupants made it out safely.
According to the Savage Fire Department, they were dispatched to the residence at approximately 8:24 p.m. on July 13, 2025. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered an active blaze and immediately launched suppression operations. Crews worked efficiently to contain and extinguish the flames before they could spread further.
Mutual aid was provided by the Burnsville, Prior Lake, Shakopee, and Bloomington fire departments, as well as the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Fire Department.
"The quick response from our department and the excellent cooperation from our mutual aid partners were instrumental in bringing this incident to a successful conclusion," said Savage Fire Chief Bresnahan. "Most importantly, the family's safe evacuation demonstrates the importance of having working smoke detectors.”
No injuries were reported among the residents or responding personnel. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Install and maintain working smoke detectors in their homes
Create and regularly practice a home fire escape plan with all family members
