UPDATED - Mobile Home Fire in Apple Valley: No Injuries Reported

APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA - Around 10:53 AM on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, the Apple Valley Fire Department and Apple Valley Police were dispatched to the 7200 block of 126th Street for a reported mobile home fire.
Police on the scene confirmed seeing smoke coming from one of the walls inside the residence, and one of the first fire units on the scene confirmed seeing smoke from the roof line. A confirmed working fire was denoted by 11:02 AM and would later be upgraded to a second-alarm fire. Based on scanner traffic, crews were having trouble finding the source of the fire, as it appeared to be in an exterior wall/attic portion of the residence. There was also a double roof on this structure. Crews were able to put the fire out by around 11:30 AM and were working to hit any remaining hot spots, with fire crews clearing the scene around 12:42 PM.
Apple Valley Fire Chief Matt Nelson said the fire was caused after trying to thaw water pipes under the home. The chief confirmed no injuries from the fire, but three adults and four children were displaced. The Red Cross was called in and is assisting them.
