BREAKING: Eagan Police Have Determined the November Sexual Assault Report to Be False
EAGAN, MINNESOTA —The Eagan Police Department announced today that the reported sexual assault at Lebanon Hills Regional Park on November 7, 2024, never occurred. Following an extensive investigation, the reporting party admitted to fabricating the incident and will be charged with filing a false police report.
Authorities acknowledged the community’s vigilance and support during the investigation and expressed gratitude to the Dakota County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance.
Although this case was determined to be false, the Eagan Police Department continues to investigate the separate assault reported on September 7, 2024, at Lebanon Hills Park. No new information is available at this time.
The department reminds the public to remain aware of their surroundings, look out for one another, and promptly report suspicious activity.
