Lakeville Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting Incident
LAKEVILLE, MINNESOTA— The Lakeville Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place in the early hours of Sunday, October 6, 2024. According to the Lakeville Police Department, at approximately 2:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire near Foliage Avenue and Gerdine Path.
The initial investigation revealed that the shooting occurred in the 16200 block of Florida Way in Lakeville, Minnesota. Shortly after the incident, two individuals arrived at a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. Fortunately, their injuries were reported as not life-threatening, and they are currently receiving medical treatment for those injuries. Authorities believe the two individuals are connected to the shooting.
No arrests have been made yet in connection with this shooting, but Lakeville police are interviewing several possible suspects and witnesses to gather more information about the incident. While the investigation is ongoing, Lakeville Police have assured the public that there is no immediate threat to safety in the area.
