Ambulance Involved in Crash on Westbound I-494 Near I-694
OAKDALE/WOODBURY, MINNESOTA – On Wednesday, September 25th, around 12:30 PM, the Minnesota State Patrol and local emergency personnel from the Woodbury Fire Department and Police responded to a two-vehicle crash involving an ambulance and a 2007 Lexus RX on westbound I-494 near I-694.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the ambulance's emergency lights and sirens were activated at the time of the incident. Fortunately, the ambulance crew and the Lexus driver were not reported injured in the crash. The ambulance driver, a 20-year-old woman, received a citation following the crash, though details surrounding the exact cause remain under investigation.
The incident resulted in delays for drivers going westbound on I-94 as emergency services cleared the scene.
