Fatal Hit-and-Run Crash Outside Minneapolis Gas Station

MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA - Minneapolis Police report a person was killed in a hit-and-run crash late last night outside of a gas station at 2nd Ave SE and Hennepin Avenue East.
In a press release from the Minneapolis Police Department, authorities said,
“At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Minneapolis Police Department officers from the Second Precinct responded to a hit-and-run crash outside a gas station at 2nd Ave. SE and Hennepin Ave. E. Officers arriving at the scene found an unidentified man in the street near the entrance to the gas station. It was apparent he had been run over by a vehicle. The man was declared dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.”
In an update from the Minneapolis Police Department, the vehicle's driver that fled the scene has been identified and said to cooperate with law enforcement. According to the police, the initial investigation shows that the unidentified male had walked out in front of a slow-moving Hennepin County Plot Truck while leaving the gas station parking lot. No official arrests have been made in connection with this case.
