Hit-and-Run Crash in Eagan Leaves Child Injured, State Patrol Investigating

EAGAN, MINNESOTA - According to the Minnesota State Patrol, authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Tuesday night in Eagan, leaving an 11-year-old child with minor injuries.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 7:56 p.m. on February 11th, 2025, on the exit ramp for northbound Highway 77 (Cedar Avenue) and Cliff Road. A Mazda CX-5 was stopped at a traffic light when it was struck from behind by a vehicle suspected to be a Ford Edge.

Following the collision, the driver of the Ford Edge fled the scene, leaving the occupants of the Mazda behind. Among them was an 11-year-old passenger who sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.

Authorities have said the investigation remains ongoing. The Minnesota State Patrol urges anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
