Original Story - EAGAN, MINNESOTA —The Eagan Police Department is actively investigating a series of burglaries that occurred in the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 4, 2024. According to a press release from Sergeant Chriss Meade and Sergeant Rebecca Kopp of the Eagan Police Department, police responded to three separate security alarms at local auto repair businesses between 3:54 a.m. and 4:34 a.m.

The affected businesses—Tires Plus, All Imports & Domestics, and Valley Motor Sports—are located close to each other. Upon arrival, officers discovered forced entry at two of the three locations, with items reported missing from one business.

All three burglary locations were about 2.5 miles apart from each other.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the same individual may be responsible for all three incidents. However, police have yet to release details regarding the suspect or the nature of the stolen items.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are helping with the investigation into this incident. The night of the incident, the Eagan Police Department received support from the Bloomington, Farmington, South St. Paul, Mendota Heights, and Burnsville Police Departments, as well as the Minnesota State Patrol.

Authorities have increased patrols in the area and are collaborating with business owners to prevent further incidents. The case remains open and active, with investigators urging anyone with information to come forward.
