Two Separate Domestic Incidents in Burnsville Lead to Arrests on Christmas Eve
BURNSVILLE, MINNESOTA – According to Burnsville Officials, two separate domestic incidents on Christmas Eve resulted in arrests on Tuesday evening.
In the first incident, authorities were dispatched around 9:10 PM to the Southwind Village following a report of a domestic situation. Upon arrival, officers learned that the male suspect had fled the scene. A search was conducted, and the individual was later located and arrested. Police confirmed that the suspect had outstanding warrants contributing to his arrest. The incident lasted around an hour and a half.
The second incident involved another domestic dispute in the area of 122nd Street and County Road 11. In this incident, a male suspect refused to leave the residence. This escalated into a standoff lasting several hours, beginning around 9 PM and ending around 1:30 AM on December 25th. Police maintained communication with the individual, ultimately leading to a peaceful resolution when he voluntarily exited the home. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody.
While both situations required significant law enforcement resources, Burnsville police reported that neither incident resulted in injuries to responding officers or first responders. These two incidents are still being investigated. We will provide an update if more information is released.
