Update on Fire at Argosy University in Eagan
EAGAN, MINNESOTA - We wanted to update you on a story we initially posted on our Facebook page on the evening of March 21st. Just after 8:50 PM on Thursday, March 21st, 2024, the Eagan Fire Department and Eagan Police were called to Argosy University at Eagan Central for a fire alarm.
Around 8:57 PM, police confirmed seeing smoke and flames inside the first floor per scanner traffic, and the call was upgraded to a working fire. Mutual aid was toned out from the Burnsville Fire Department. Thanks to the quick response by fire personnel and the Eagan Police, crews were able to get the fire knocked down quickly.
We contacted the Eagan Fire Department for more information on this fire, and Eagan Fire Chief Hugo Searle informed us that the small fire was in the janitor's closet. As of March 26, 2024, the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but the Chief did state the fire was controlled by the fire sprinkler system.
