Suspicious Activity Reported Near Culver's in Apple Valley Leads to Large Police Presence
APPLE VALLEY, MINNESOTA – On Saturday, October 12, 2024, at approximately 7:49 PM, the Apple Valley Police Department responded to a report of suspicious activity near the Culver’s on Galaxie Avenue in Apple Valley, Minnesota. Initial reports indicated that shots had been fired at a mother and her daughter.
After Apple Valley Police Officers located the vehicle in question and interviewed its occupants, it was determined that the complainant or her daughter were not in danger. Further investigation revealed that the group in the vehicle had been involved in a minor verbal altercation unrelated to the initial report at Crumbl Cookies. This incident was never reported to law enforcement, but police learned of the incident as they were investigating the initial suspicious activity call. Authorities did confirm that no gunshots had been fired during the incident. However, BBs were found inside the vehicle, and a used CO2 cartridge was discovered in the trunk, indicating the possible use of a BB gun.
As there was no immediate threat and no further evidence of gunfire, the police concluded their investigation. According to officials with the Apple Valley Police Department, no further action will be taken regarding this case.
