Area Fire Personnel Respond to a 4th Alarm Fire in South St Paul
SOUTH ST PAUL, MINNESOTA—At 12:10 PM on Tuesday, July 30th, 2024, emergency personnel were called to Armour Ave and Hardman Ave S in South St Paul, Minnesota, for a reported grass fire. As more information became available, it was determined that a brush pile on fire was located at S & S Tree, also known as The Davey Tree Expert Company.
Around 12:58 PM, this incident was upgraded to a third-alarm fire. By 1:40 PM, it had been upgraded to a fourth alarm, necessitating additional mutual aid from the Eagan Fire Department and Inver Grove Heights Fire Department. The area fire departments responding to this fire included the South Metro Fire, Inver Grove Heights Fire, Mendota Heights Fire, Eagan Fire, Allina Health, and South St Paul Police. As of 3:30 PM, the fire was reported out, and all fire units had cleared the scene.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and it is not yet clear if any injuries have occurred due to the blaze.
