32nd Annual Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival: Missouri's Pumpkin Patch
HARTSBURG, MISSOURI - The small town of Hartsburg, Missouri, held its 32 Annual Festival Hartsburg Pumpkin Festival this year at the self-proclaimed "Missouri's Pumpkin Patch." This festival began in October 1991 and features arts and crafts, musical entertainment, Halloween Decorations, and thousands of pumpkins.
The festival organizers estimate around 25,000 to 30,000 people will visit the festival this year, with around 230 booths for people to visit throughout the small town of around 143 people, according to the 2021 census. They have a tram system to help shuttle people to and from the parking area to the festival, which began in 1994.
The festival has only been canceled twice in its 32 years, once in 1993 when extensive flooding caused extensive damage and swallowed around 40 of the 50 homes in the town. The other year was back in 2020 because of Covid.
