Truck Crashes into North Canadian River - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma | June 17, 2020
Around 9:40 PM on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, a 911 call went out for a truck that had crashed in the North Canadian River on the northeast side of Lake Overholser in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Witnesses at the scene said they saw three vehicles parked at the end of the road to the north of the crash site. They heard loud music as the vehicles were about to leave. The three vehicles were said to be traveling at a high rate of speed southbound down the road when the next thing they heard was a loud crashing sound. They explained it sounded like something had just run into a concrete slab. The truck went off the east side of the road and down into the North Canadian River just west of N. Eagle LN.
The truck was a gray Toyota Truck. It is unknown at this time how many occupants were in the vehicle, but conflicting reports are saying at least one person was pulled from the truck, we are still working to finalize those details at this time. Crews were on the scene for several hours, with the truck being pulled out of the water just before 11:30 PM.
